Kathleen has wanted to know “why” since she was a tiny girl, much to the consternation of a long list of easily miffed elementary school teachers. She began her journalistic career as a theater critic at a local newspaper before moving to the “news” side of the business, eventually covering K-12 education for the Idaho Statesman. In 2000, she was lured to Boise State University as a public relations professional, where she now revels in an extensive call list of faculty experts who can, indeed, tell her “why.” When she grows up, she wants to be an archaeologist.
Kathleen Tuck is director of research communications and promotions for the Office of Communications and Marketing. In addition to editing Explore magazine, she writes about campus research for Focus and the campus e-newsletter Update.
