John loves images. Historical or contemporary, still images stop time and allow the viewer to experience a captured moment. With a passion for history he saw that the earliest photographs and classic films provide a time machine into the past. His interest in historical images led to a desire to capture and create his own, and university photography provided the opportunity to experience and capture images of performing artists, researchers, incredible athletes, and quiet moments of learning and reflection. During personal travel and when traveling for Boise State he enjoys capturing images of people, architecture and landscapes around the world. Maybe someday John's images will provide a look into the past for a student curious about the early 21st century.
