They work to connect, support and advocate on behalf of the university through their alumni chapters and clubs. Today there are 12 alumni chapters and five clubs that support, sponsor, celebrate and connect Boise State alumni globally.
Alumni chapters are based on both geographic regions and special interests or affiliations. Chapter members hold events and provide support designed to serve the social, service and scholarship mission of the association. Each chapter also has a mission focus; chapter members hold events such as football watch parties, sponsor student scholarships and provide mentoring programs for current Boise State students.
The Fiesta Chapter, based in Phoenix, Arizona, holds an annual golf tournament and proceeds from the event go toward helping Arizona students attend Boise State.
The Honors College Alumni Chapter supports the Honors College through mentoring and fundraising. Since becoming a charter chapter two years ago, the Honors Chapter has provided mentoring to honors students and hosted panel discussions about life after graduation.
The Latino Alumni Chapter engages Latino alumni and community in support of the growth and success of Latinos at Boise State University. The chapter hosts events, promotes fundraising for scholarships, establishes support systems for prospective and current students and serves as an advocate on behalf of the Latino community at Boise State.
“Volunteer chapter and club leaders provide an invaluable service back to Boise State when they host admissions events in their homes, write handwritten notes to incoming freshmen and serve on campus during the campus move-in day and welcome week. Leaders welcome new graduates to participate in clubs and chapters and this, in turn, builds a family of alumni and friends who work together to advance Boise State University. There are Broncos worldwide waiting to connect.”
